Kyle Kash
PRESIDENT
(He/Him)
Course: Entertainment Business Management
Campus: Brisbane
Trimester: 4/5

My name is Kyle Kash, I'm an EBM tri 3/4 student from Brisbane studying my second degree and I have previously sat on committee's for Tamworth Musical Society, Tamworth Pride and was the Inaugural President for New England Pride, Australia where I underwrote their constitution and policies.
I'm a studied organiser, having worked for Tamworth Country Music Festival, Sydney WorldPride 2023 and Woodford Folk Festival where I've managed 1,000's of musicians and led teams of various sizes.
I have a way of managing priorities, expectations and problem-solving where people feel heard but also ensure that the listener receiving the feedback has the information land in a way where the criticism is constructive. I also have a sense of improving systems, like capitalising on making campus and student-led events work for students and their studies, building students networks and upskilling others to replace me.
I stand for student advocacy, dignity and respect. I am accustomed to being the face of big decisions and my aim is to coherently adopt diverse ideas and unify them so we achieve action over performance. Everyone is my equal and this is why I am glad to serve as National President of SVC.

KYRA TEICHTAHL
VICE PRESIDENT
(She/Her)
Course: Music (Songwriting) & Entertainment Business Management
Campus: Melbourne
Trimester: 8
Hi, I’m Kyra! I’m in the Music and Entertainment Business Management double degree and am proud to be the National Vice President of JMC’s Student Voice Council!
I’m passionate about bringing people together, supporting creative ideas, and making sure everyone feels heard. Throughout my life, I’ve had the opportunity to lead a wide range of creative projects, from founding Blueprint Music Group - an artist development and education business that supports emerging musicians - to independently planning and delivering my own music releases and live shows. Along the way, I’ve also gained experience in stage management, team leadership, and project management, all of which have strengthened my collaborative approach and passion for creating meaningful opportunities for others.
As Vice President, I’m excited to help strengthen communication between students and JMC, encourage collaboration across campuses and courses, and make sure every student feels represented and supported. I can’t wait to work with the student community and help make a positive impact!

Katelyn Bayer
Finance & Resources officer
Course: Game Design
Campus: Melbourne
Trimester: 2
Hi Everyone! My name is Katelyn Bayer, I'm currently studyingfor my Bachelor of Creative Arts in Game Design in Melbourne, and I'm here to apply for the privilege of being your Finance andResources Officer!

So - When I'm not trying to fix my compile errors in Unity - my day job is actually being an accountant at another University.
Thankfully JMC has provided me the perfect opportunity to use my powers for good instead of evil - We are unfortunately in late stage capitalism - so handling our funds is so important in being able to enact real change.
I want to use my real-life experiences to help handle the financialtechnicalities of in-acting these changes alongside you, and theother members of the SVC.

The sense of community at JMC is just so important to me - Itwas there for me when I was in a bad place, and I would love theopportunity to pay that forward.
MONA COSTIOS

Hello my JMC angels, for those of you who don’t already know me my name is Mona Cotsios and I am your newly elected Sydney Representative. I am an animation student in my second trimester and I spend basically most of my spare time hanging around campus talking and working. So come and say hello!
Unlike the studied minds within my community and councils (they’re such great people) I am the unstoppable young gun of the group. I pride myself on my ability to connect to each and every person I meet, my unshakable sense of justice and equality drives my ambition to make JMC a warm and friendly environment.
I have the upmost confidence and respect for my colleagues and tutors, and if there is anything I can do to help repay them for their selfless service I will do anything and everything in my power to ensure that JMC becomes the second home to everyone as it is to me.
I live for seeing everyone smile, laugh and having fun, and I’m honoured to work with the council to make a difference.

EM MEADES

Course: Entertainment Business Management
Campus: Melbourne
Trimester: 6
Hi I'm Em and I am an EBM student in Trimester 5 and a student mentor at the JMC Melbourne Campus. I am passionate about helping advocate and raise students’ voices, and to bring positive change for Melbourne students. I feel strongly about a positive community and building connections between departments for a stronger JMC.

I want to open communication and to hear the voices from all Melbourne students, through face to face and teams’ communication and actively bring and advocate for us as a cohort at the Student Council. I have loved building the strong inter-department connections I already have with students and lecturers across the Melbourne campus and look forward to utilising and growing these with intention and a friendly face.

I hope to encourage every department to feel they are important, heard and valued and to represent the concerns, challenges and wins from each and every student. I pride myself in being approachable, an active listener and having a keen eye for process and improvement, and I am passionate about building a solid and long lasting foundation for the SVC at Melbourne.

Outside of JMC I have a background of events management, committee roles and theatre direction and hope to bring this leadership and team mentality to the role of Melbourne representative.
